How to save the replay of your game into a file

Unlock the Power of Preservation: Discover How to Safeguard Your Warcraft III Frozen Throne Dota Map Game Replays with Our Step-by-Step Guide!

By following these instructions, you'll be able to save your game replays, whether to admire your skills, share them with friends, or submit them to the support section as crucial evidence in cases of abuse reports.

Below, you'll find nine clear and concise images illustrating the essential steps to save your game replay. Don't worry, while video files typically have extensions like .mp4 or .avi, Warcraft uses its unique .w3g extension. You may need third-party programs to open it, or you can access it easily through the game's main menu options. Let's dive in and make your replays a breeze to save and share!

1 First picture reveals the Menu window, accessible from the top left corner or by simply pressing (F10) during or at the end of your match.

2 Upon selecting "End Game" in the first image, you will be presented with three subcategories:

Restart, Quit and Exit program.

"Restart game," which will appear blurred out as it's currently unavailable for restarting with the same players.

"Quit game," which is the option we will choose this time. It will redirect you to the score area and provide information about the game you've played.

"Exit program," which will exit Wc3 and return you to your desktop.

3 Congratulations!

---------

You've officially closed the game you played and are now ready to view the overall score. But before clicking "OK" to close the statistics, pay attention to the option on the left labeled "Save replay!" – that's the one we're looking for.

4 Next, you'll enter the name for your replay. Here are a few tips to consider when choosing a name.

---

If you intend to be a good comrade and occasionally post reports, I encourage you to name your reports in the following format. For instance, if there was a player named "Abuser" who played Puck and made a mistake in the 35th minute of the game, your replay should be named:

"Abuser, Puck, 35:15".

By naming your replays in this manner, even after a few days have passed, you can easily recall and retrieve that specific replay. It's a convenient way to organize your game data.

5 In the end, click the "Save" button in the window where you've entered the name for your replay, and your file will be successfully saved within the Warcraft III directory on your SSD.

How to upload your replay file?

image

We've shown you how to save a replay on your PC. Now, it's time to teach you how to utilize that file in your reports.

Please continue to follow the guide outlined in this post to navigate through the support section of our forum. Once you've selected the appropriate category and game, follow the instructions below to learn how to attach your replay file.

image

Uploading a replay as evidence is mandatory in the following fields:

1 Disconnect / wrong points

2 Report for feeding / AFK

3 DotA ladder cheating

4 Report bad manners

5 Report for spam

image

Assuming that you've found the desired category within the support section following the linked post, after selecting your preferred category, you'll see a list of games as shown in the picture below. Choose "complaint."

image

image

The following step is rather self-evident. Assuming you've diligently followed the preceding instructions, at this point, you will be prompted to provide a title for your issue, such as

'Player Monster Unfair Play.'

In the Descryption section, it is advisable to furnish a comprehensive account of the situation. This approach not only expedites administrative procedures but also facilitates a fair and just resolution when dealing with abusive players. As an illustration Complaint Descryption should be:

'Dear administrator, in the game, Player Monster initiated a series of insults at 24:15, and subsequently, intentionally destroyed their in-game items before leaving the match.'

After providing the title and descryption, select 'Выберите файл для загрузки,' which translates to 'Select file to upload' in Russian.

Be sure to carefully select the replay that corresponds to the reported game. Uploading a file from a different game will render your ticket invalid.

image

image

Once all fields are correctly filled out and the replay file, as specified in the pictures, is uploaded with its corresponding size and the name you provided during the game, you can proceed to submit the report. The administrator will then take it from there, following the established rules and regulations to ensure a fair and respectful gaming environment.

That concludes our guide on saving and uploading your game replay. Keep learning, promote fairness, good behavior, and best of luck from your iCCup management team!

If you have any questions or ideas on how to enhance any aspect of this process, please feel free to share them in the DotA EU Forum.
